Jerewen in Kimchiland #1 - Busan

Finally, I have some time on my hands to start to pen down what we did last year in Korea!!!

I was so excited and looking forward to this trip because it has been a really really long time since the last time I visited Korea/Seoul! Seoul will always have a special place in my heart.

Well, it was the 1st time J travelled to Korea, so he made me planned the itinerary. Oh well, I really suck at planning the itinerary though. Haha, but i'm glad that I made it to most of the site visiting that I wanted to go!

Let's begin with our mandatory photo at the airport ! We took the Korean Air this time. It was my 1st time taking Korean Air. The service was good but the entertainment was quite limited.

Kicked off my trip with Korean traditional food - BIBIMBAP!!!!
Really really love the chilli paste! Haha. It was a heavy meal for me! It was almost midnight when I have the meal. J chosen the chicken chop I think. Some western food.

Right after we landed in Incheon airport, loitering around the airport and move on to KTX!
Taking the KTX all the way down (or was it up?) to Busan!
I have never been to Busan, so I was really excited about it!
The train took about almost 3 hours from Airport station to Busan (Which happened to be the last station).

A little more about KTX, as we planned to stay in Busan for 3 days. We bought the Korail 3 days pass under saver. Actually, we can use the pass to travel to other city but we just didn't have the time / plan about it.

We don't get to choose our seat. The seats are usually allocated randomly, but I know if you would like to request, the staff will try to make the arrangement for you. But you must know which direction the KTX will be traveling in. I made the mistakes when I was travel back from Busan to Seoul.

We were allocated the seats that was backward facing. Luckily I didn't get any motion sickness.
We booked our tickets online through Korail site. It was really easy to book. I would recommend to purchase beforehand.

Especially if you are going to travel during their peak season. Even though I didn't travel during the peak season, the train was fully packed!

It was really different looking at the scenery. Especially cities that have more nature scenery.
I must say that it was really uncomfortable and I was losing my patient because I was really drained from traveling.

1st item we bought upon reaching Busan!!

It was really NICE!!!! We love it so much that we bought this almost every single day. No matter in Busan or Seoul! But we didn't managed to get this exact one in Seoul. We got other honey butter chips.

This was the apartment that I booked through airbnb. It was my first time using airbnb and I was really glad the host that I had booked were really nice, friendly and helpful! Especially in Busan!

Actually, I can't really remember we were at which station because we went to a few stations on the same day.
I believe this might be the Haeundae station because I wanted to go to Haeundae beach! But it was really late and cold. Plus end up it was drizzling.
Either way, this restaurant I believe was quite famous. As there was a long queue! I just anyhow point and order LOL. Luckily it wasn't bad at all. At least I know it was pork soup but the other ingredient was...... blood sausage!! OMG. Actually, it doesn't taste bad or disgusting. Haha.

We walked past a fried chicken store and J really really wanted to try the fried chicken. So, we went in and ordered 3 different flavour. Soy, spicy and original.

Despite telling him we should order beer to eat with fried chicken just like everyone else, he went to ordered soju... Still, not a fan of soju.

The chicken was really awesome!

FOR THIS BRIDGE!!!!!
We were not able to find this place initially and was walking round and round. Plus it was quite late when we reached there. So there weren't much people near the train station that we alighted.

Busan Gwangandaegyo Bridge
 203, Suyeonggangbyeon-daero, Haeundae-gu, Busan
Directions: Gwangan Station (Busan Subway Line 2), Exit 3 or 5. Walk 10min towards Gwangalli Beach.

Once we reached the beach, it was more happening. Tons of lights, people, shops and cafes!
We were too full from our previous meal so didn't stop to eat at any shops.
But the scenery was really nice. Plus people are putting fireworks randomly.
Haha, something you can never see in Singapore.

1st day in Korea/ Busan was good. I really love it. Plus the weather..
It was turning to autumn so it was really windy and cold. Love it!
